Typically you would hear someone who isn't convinced in magic or in the belief that you will do something say, "I'll believe it when I see it." Yet most people when they see a person on the street they turn their head and ignore them. If you ask most of them why, they answer "I don't believe they're homeless."
Wait.. did I understand that right? This person is out on the street begging for food and you think they're faking. Okay, I understand that they're are some cruel people out there who are jerks just trying to earn cash by hiding behind someone else's misfortune. There are even some who beg for money to get drugs and alcohol I'm not saying they aren't. But think about it. Is it worth being such a cynic that you can't even spare a dollar?
A recent report looked at homelessness from 2011 to now 2013. The rate of homeless people living on the streets or "unsheltered" was 38%. In January 2012, in America 633,782thousand people were reported as being homeless. This site is fantastic if you are ever in need of help or looking to help others. I usually look at my own state to see what I can do but every state has homeless people that need help. Please take the time out of your day to see what difference you an make. http://portal.hud.gov/hudportal/HUD?src=/states/west_virginia/homeless
