Homeless Man Ronald Davis Emotional Story Called a Bum, Cries ...

Very emotional. He is human. And just because he is down on his luck does not give you the right to call him a bum or make fun of him. God bless him

Human is Beautiful

Before you go and judge someone on their looks, you should know where they come from. They're human just like you and just like me. Nothing more. A homeless person is a human. No matter what the race, ethnicity, gender, economic standing, none of that. They are you. You are them. We are all made of flesh and blood, and deserve to be treated fairly. I don't want you to pass someone by because you think they look scary or that they are something you haven't seen before. Quit being a stupid idiot with you're head in the clouds, turning a blind eye. You think that because you're "better" than them you can just turn away and hope that someone else will take care of the "problem".

We've all had hard times and you know what it's like to not receive help in a bad time. And what you're problem maybe lasted a day? A week? A couple months at most? These people go through it every single day. No one to help them out or on their feet, because we are all scared of them. We act like we don't even think they're human. Just stop. They're human and want your help. Need your help. Why deny these people the right to help just because of YOUR insecurities and ignorance?

Learn how to be a volunteer and do better for the world no matter what.

Update

Recently someone contacted me and was interested in getting my idea of "Change is Coming" out there on the radio and raising money, a fundraiser show, etc. etc.
But I turned them down because it was becoming too complicated. This person didn't care about raising awareness for the homeless they just wanted to raise money.

I have to admit though I was getting sucked into the glitz and glamour this person promised. But after a few messages I realized this person was not looking out for me or my cause. They were hoping to get their name out there and make as much money as possible. I was so upset that I was almost trapped and cornered into this idea.

So I just want you all to know that no matter what I will be in the business of raising awareness, not money. And if you ever have an idea that you really are passionate about, make sure you get the word out the way YOU want to. Like my other blog update, all you have to do is be an example. Do good on your own time and people will follow.

Because helping someone is infectious. It just feels good. And hopefully, when someone sees you doing something good they will feel the need to "Pay It Forward". And I hope you all agree with me when I say, no matter what I would try my best to help someone in need.

And just when you thought you lost all faith in humanity

Let's just talk about random acts of kindness. These people helped beached dolphins back into the ocean. It's not just about helping only the homeless. It's about doing what you can in any way to help

Doing Good On Your Own Time

You know anyone can do good things on their own time. Doing something simple like gathering together your used clothes and picking up a few 98cent cans at the grocery store can make someone's day. Millions of people literally all over the world are doing what's called a "Giving Back Tag" which they usually film and put on YouTube. You can watch different videos all over from people in Australia, to England, to Ireland and everywhere in the U.S.

We can obviously see this is a growing trend for our generation and counting. Instead of the Harlem Shake and Selfie Nation, were going viral with a more important more life changing trend. Giving Back. I wish I could spread the word to more audiences and explain the importance of doing good. Because it truly is a humbling experience once you feel what it's like to hand that blanket or that can of food to someone who desperately needs it.

Hugs for the Homeless

Create your own ideas and start a trend! We can all help in some way

Homeless Family Makeover

Most families effected by homelessness have twice the stress with children. Giving back to families who are having a hard time is really special and amazing for these guys to do.

Seeing is Believing?

Typically you would hear someone who isn't convinced in magic or in the belief that you will do something say, "I'll believe it when I see it." Yet most people when they see a person on the street they turn their head and ignore them. If you ask most of them why, they answer "I don't believe they're homeless."

Wait.. did I understand that right? This person is out on the street begging for food and you think they're faking. Okay, I understand that they're are some cruel people out there who are jerks just trying to earn cash by hiding behind someone else's misfortune. There are even some who beg for money to get drugs and alcohol I'm not saying they aren't. But think about it. Is it worth being such a cynic that you can't even spare a dollar?

A recent report looked at homelessness from 2011 to now 2013. The rate of homeless people living on the streets or "unsheltered" was 38%. In January 2012, in America 633,782thousand people were reported as being homeless. This site is fantastic if you are ever in need of help or looking to help others. I usually look at my own state to see what I can do but every state has homeless people that need help. Please take the time out of your day to see what difference you an make.  http://portal.hud.gov/hudportal/HUD?src=/states/west_virginia/homeless

Beautiful reactions from Homeless getting Free Food

Honestly this ma is a saint. Subscribe to show support but more importantly please get the word out and try to do as much as you can for one person one day. It really does make a difference

Making The Homeless Smile

Doing something simple like giving a homeless man the time of day can really change a life.
Be Part of The Movement!

Now that we're acquainted, I'd like to tell you how YOU can make a difference by just getting the word out!

Not everyone knows or understands the very serious issue of the homeless. First of all, anyone can be homeless. With the economy in a bit of a tug of war, you could easily lose your job and be out on the streets. It's very scary and most of us don't think about how good we really do have it or how we take that for granted.

We see homeless people out on the street as "dirty" and men who have long, unkempt beards, who "smell" or do "drugs". Those are all stereotypes. There is no profile for a homeless person. Though some may have these attributes, why should we allow ourselves to suddenly become "Holier Than Thou," and start judging them on their lifestyle? Remember, when you point the finger at someone make sure your hands are clean.

I want to be part of a movement that you all are invited to. It has no judgment and looks to help those in need. When you see someone on the street I bet you're scared. That they might rob you, or hurt you.. and why? Because you've seen it in movies? Please know that these people are in need. They may have a shelter to sleep at night they may get one hot meal a day. But what about their family? What about the holidays? What about feeling safe everyday and having a refreshing shower and that Chinese takeout you love? These people don't get to enjoy that.

Most homeless become sad and end up having some mental disabilities from the stress of day to day, survival on the streets, the weather they endure, the shunning from their own communities, and most of all loneliness...

Please be an activist in this fight with me. Because together we can make a change

Introduction!

Hello Everyone and welcome to my blog, Change is Coming! I am a very passionate person, just an ordinary person who has big dreams and big goals for a better world to live in.

Backstory

Basically I am from a very small town in West Virginia. I have wanted to do something major, something big and benefiting to the whole world. But I never understood how to get those dreams off the paper let alone the ground, since I was so young and uneducated on how to do so. I'm still in a tight spot since I am still living with parents but will be attending college this August.

I desperately want to volunteer my time and donate money but my parents are stingy and old fashioned. They're technically grandparents and are a generation behind most parents of kids my age today. Anyway, I am trying to get the word out and find more opportunities for change.

My thoughts are, even though I am young, and from a small town, I will follow my dreams and make a change.
